Project "Kolossal" is proposed as a platform, where all OSINT data will be collected and processed, especially from the OSINT sources (public satellite images analysis, georeferenced sources etc.).
Some parts of the projects are already used as data source on DeepStateMap.live.
A considerable amount of information, which is meaningful to clarify data about enemy’s positions, state and location is posted in public (social, mass media etc.).
A lot of photos are posted by enemy soldiers in social media with exact geodata.
- How to collect that data?
- Who must collect that data?
- What about automatization and visualization of data?
To solve these questions there is a need in a software complex in form of a web application that will be used to aggregate OSINT data and work with it.
Such as fires, registered by NASA satellites.
Temperature, wind and strength direction, precipitation etc.
Especially not considering the height of trees, which is usually considered in public dems.
Topographic modelling instruments.
Separate frontline, which will be updated more often, without intentional delay, and will contain non-public data.
Like rulers for measuring distances, areas, azimuth calculation and coordinates systems conversion (WSG-84, CK-42, etc.).
Flexible permissions system with a breakdown into sectors of responsibility and separate permissions management in each sector (area of responsibility).
For military to provide clarification on data, input data to process, photo/video data geolocation.
